Nauryz

Spring is inspired by Nauryz, the Kazakh New Year, which marks the arrival of spring. A figure in a pale layered dress moves across a deep red field of blossoms and ornamental patterns, her long black braids trailing behind her. Gold leaf accents catch the light in the pattern, so the painting feels both traditional and alive.
