Zarina Hendrix.

Zarina Hendrix is a Houston-based artist working in oil and acrylic. Born in Kazakhstan, she paints at the meeting point of Central Asian and Western worlds, moving between realism and abstraction. Her figures, landscapes and symbolic scenes hold a quiet emotional tension, and each piece is less about a place than about the feeling that lives inside it.

Her originals are held in private collections and have been shown in Houston-area exhibitions. She also takes on commissions and teaches classes, workshops and paint parties from her studio at Sugar Land Art Center & Gallery.
